김진선 초대전 <나무 - 곁을 주다>
우리 곁에 항상 존재하는 자연 한 단면의 이야기를, 작은 울림을, 침묵을, 잔잔한 연필 선의 움직임으로 때론 거친 선의 움직임으로, 연필의 자연스러운 반복된 드로잉과 지움의 과정으로 자연스러운 숲과 나무, 산의 형태를 만들고 그 안에 깊숙이 자리잡은 나무의 형상을 연필과 콘테로 표현한 작품들이다. 스스로를 치유하며 서로의 아픔을 공감할 수 있는 나무들은 내 가슴에 화면에 선택 되어졌다.

그림이라는 존재, 나라는 존재의 끊임없는 물음 속에, 삶의 요원한 대답의 메아리를 찾기 위해 언제나 나는 자연을 찾았다. 자연과 함께 호흡할 수 있었던 유년 시절의 따뜻함과 동경의 대상이 되었던 그 커다란 자연의 힘 앞에 나는 순응하며 자연과 길을 걸었다. 그 길에는 항상 그림이 나와 동행했다.
